Overview of services
We provide a number of services around nails. We also provide a network for individuals to:
a). Collaborate and share notes on nails.
They are also allowed to showcase their portfolios and samples for their works.
Service 1
We will be discussing and understanding the nail unit. We will also analyse and understand the nail anatomy
Nail Unit
The nail is a structure that is tied to the finger nails and toe. Growth is dependant on the healthy structure and the formation of the individual parts.
The nail unit consists of the:
a). matrix;
b). Nail fold or mantle;
c). Cuticle;
d). Lunula;
e). Nail Plate;
f). Free edge; and
g). hydonychium
Nail function:
The nail is part of theory of evolution and it is used to manipulate objects. It is also used to objectify objects.
Matrix
It is the birthplace of the nail plate. It determines the size, shape, width and thickness of nails.
Service 2
Acrylic nails or artificial nails
We will understand the artificial nail systems. We will also discuss and understand the chemistry of nail products. Our discussions will cover bonding, chemistry of systems, UV gel systems, Fibreglass systems, chemical reactions in the nail systems and artificial nail removal.
Service 3
Nail tips applications
We will understand and discuss ways and methods used to apply nail tips. This will cover the process of preparing the natural nail, using adhesives, application of plastic tips, problems and resolution of bad nail shapes and alternative tips.
